Yasmeen Ismail is an early career structural engineer with a commitment to architectural vision, sustainability, technical excellence, and resilience. Her education consisted of a holistic approach to structural engineering that integrated architecture studios and architectural history courses that engage technical engineering skills with academic architectural projects. After earning her bachelor’s degree in 2022, Yasmeen joined Strandberg Engineering in San Francisco as a Structural Designer where she worked on high-end custom homes and founded the Sustainability/Resilience Committee. In 2023, she started a position as a Structural Engineer I at ABS Consulting’s Irvine office where she works on risk, resilience, and seismic retrofit for existing buildings.
