Amy has two decades of experience empowering communities and organizations to address natural hazards and climate challenges. Formerly a principal and founder of Thornton Tomasetti’s Resilience Practice, she advanced the firm’s global consulting services at the intersection of the built and natural environments. Her career spans four continents, with leadership roles responding to catastrophes including Sandy, Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria, and earthquakes in New Zealand and Nepal. As founder and principal of Ripple Resilience, she champions resilient design, climate adaptation, nature-based solutions and preparedness to address climate impacts for high-profile clients across the Americas and beyond, focused on buildings, infrastructure and cities. Amy chairs the NCSEA Resilience Committee, led NYSERDA’s climate assessment transportation group, served on the Waterfront Alliance Technical Assistance Committee for WEDG v3.0, is an Urban Design Forum Forefront Fellow and is on the Board of the Jackson Hole Climate Action Collective.
