Anna Lang Ofstad, ph.d.

Anna Lang, PhD has worked for over 20 years at the intersection of industry, academia, and emerging technology. She is the founder and CEO of Zylient, a technology and consulting company that utilizes advanced technologies in image processing and artificial intelligence to automate building inventory collection to facilitate disaster and urban planning. Dr. Lang co-chairs SEAOC's Resilience Committee and EERI's Public Policy and Advocacy Committee, and she proudly served on FEMA’s National Advisory Council for six years. Dr. Lang earned her Ph.D. and M.S. in Structural Engineering from UC San Diego and her B.S. in Architectural Engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She was an Intelligence Community Postdoctoral Fellow in remote sensing at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
