Dave Martin is an Associate at Degenkolb, based in Oakland, and a member of SEAOC. He holds a B.S. in Architectural Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and an M.S. in Structural Engineering, Mechanics, and Materials from UC Berkeley. Dave is a leader in implementing new AI technologies and advancing BIM integration within his firm, and has been involved in several new design and retrofit projects for commercial buildings and healthcare facilities. He enjoys structural engineering because it’s a unique blend of science and design, form and function, and loves seeing designs built to safely serve the population.
