Kristen Blowes is a PhD Candidate in the Engineering for Seismic Resilience Laboratory at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Her research focuses on both quantifying current functional recovery performance and developing prescriptive seismic design provisions to meet a range of functional recovery goals. Kristen is a licensed Professional Engineer in California and, before pursuing her PhD, worked at SOM in San Francisco.
