Zak Kostura is an Associate Principal in Arup’s New York office and serves as Digital Services Portfolio leader for the Eastern United States. As a leader of Arup’s digital capabilities, Zak works closely with the managers and directors of projects that span the vast portfolio of Arup work in the built world. Zak identifies opportunities to use new and emerging technologies to enhance the efficiency and impact of our work in all stages of project delivery. Current key technologies include software development and automation, data analytics and machine learning, artificial intelligence, cloud architecture and web applications, geospatial modeling, IoT, and remote data capture. Collaboration, empathy and understanding between subject matter experts and digital practitioners are critical to the success of these projects. Zak’s broad experience in both technical design and emerging technologies enables him to drive these collaborations and ensure the Arup team, external collaborators and our client on each project are informed and empowered to make the decisions necessary to drive digital transformation.
